Who We Are

Our Mission

Don’t Forget Us…Pet Us strives to protect and advocate for animals in need. We rescue and provide sanctuary to farmed and domestic animals that are often sick, neglected, or discarded – giving them the second chance they deserve. We aim to inspire compassion for animals through education, adoption, and personal connections, in hopes of creating a kinder, more humane community and world.

Deb Devlin

Deb Devlin is the heart behind Don’t Forget Us Pet Us Farm Animal Sanctuary—a place built on compassion, innovation, and the belief that every animal deserves a chance at a meaningful life.

With a lifelong love for animals, Deb has dedicated herself to rescuing and caring for farm animals—especially those with disabilities and complex medical needs. Her approach is simple but powerful: focus on what an animal can do, not what they cannot. Through creativity and determination, she continually finds new ways to give her animals the highest quality of life possible.

Deb’s work gained global attention through Kiki, a disabled sheep who cannot walk. Refusing to accept limitations, Deb spent years developing a motorized, joystick-controlled wheelchair—making Kiki the first animal in the world to use this kind of technology. Today, Kiki’s journey not only helps other animals, but also inspires rehabilitation patients around the world to embrace their own adaptive equipment.

But Deb’s mission doesn’t stop at the sanctuary gates. As a Respiratory Therapist at Enos Home Medical, she works one-on-one with patients in their homes—helping them breathe easier, live better, and regain independence. Whether caring for people or animals, Deb is driven by the same purpose: improving quality of life.

Through this sanctuary, Deb hopes to create something bigger than rescue—she’s building connection, awareness, and a more compassionate world.

Jill Tigano

Jill Tigano has used her natural gift to advocate for both people and animals. Jill brings a deep sense of compassion, empathy, and with her nursing background a clinical understanding to everything she does in her work as a dedicated leader in the human services field as well as at the sanctuary, She constantly strives to better the lives of the individuals she serves. Her commitment to supporting those with special needs—both human and animal—is unwavering.

Jill’s passion for connection and healing extends beyond her professional roles. Following the tragic Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, she played an integral role in bringing sanctuary animals to Connecticut to offer a quiet, comforting space for families and first responders. This experience profoundly impacted Jill and remains one she carries with her, continuing to inspire her work and dedication to compassionate care.

Like Kiki, Jill also has a deep love of music. She finds joy in attending concerts and music events, embracing the same sense of connection, energy, and happiness that music brings into her life.
